David R. Brennan, President & CEO
​
David graduated from Providence College with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. He joined the company in 1993, prior to which he had experience in banking, accounting, construction, and sales. David began his Brennan career in fleet and personnel management. While serving as the head of the safety committee he transitioned and modernized the company’s safety program. The application of his diverse background and extensive experience in the financial areas of the industry have benefited the company by David's leadership in building a strong balance sheet, able to withstand the recent fluctuations in the economy. Under his management, the company has developed strong relationships with major customers, resulting in repeat collaborations to the mutual satisfaction of both. The company’s profitability, community involvement, and sales diversity have dramatically increased during the last 5 years under his leadership. David has encouraged the development of new technologies to increase efficiency and recognize the need for green innovations and solutions. He serves on several boards as a director both inside and outside of our industry, as well as representing the company on the CCIA and in labor negotiations.
Eric T. Brennan, P.E., Vice President - Site Operations

Eric graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. Eric worked as a civil engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and with DeCarlo & Doll Consulting Engineers as a project engineer. He has a Professional Engineers License from the State of CT. Eric oversees the Site Operations and Heavy Highway division, where services include site development, road construction, site remediation, demolition, and design-build services. During his tenure, these operations have grown to include significant relationships and opportunities with universities and hospitals as well as major development clients throughout Connecticut. These repeat relationships thrive based upon Eric’s philosophy of personal attention and quality service.

Matthew Brennan, Vice President - Utility Operations
Matt graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University. Matt heads up the utility operations division where services offered include the installation of and replacement of existing underground utility infrastructure, design/build services, assisting utility partners in the development of projected costs for their capital budgets, trenchless technology solutions, and emergency repair and maintenance of infrastructure. Matt has managed Brennan’s role in the construction of some of CT’s largest utility projects including the Middletown to Norwalk 345-kv line for Eversource and the construction of PSEG’s 485 MW combined-cycle power plant in Bridgeport. Under his guidance, the client list has grown to include many of the area’s major utilities including Aquarion Water, Regional Water Authority, CT Water, United Illuminating, Eversource, and PSEG. His responsibilities include engineering, project management, estimating, and scheduling.

Linda A.Scott, Secretary/Treasurer & CFO
Linda joined the Brennan in 2008 and is responsible for the administrative functions of the company, including financial, human resources, and technical/software infrastructure. Linda received her MBA, with the highest honors from Sacred Heart University, and is a 2020 graduate of the Executive Leadership certificate program through Cornell University. Throughout her tenure with the company, she transitioned the accounting software to allow for global integrations and assimilation of financial and operational areas of the company.

Joseph E. Keane - Safety Superintendent
Joe has more than twenty-five years with Brennan. He returned to the company after two years of employment with SNET as an inspector for Utility Operations. Joe is familiar with all aspects of the company's operations and is an asset regarding both safety issues and customer service needs. Due to the specialized safety requirements of working around underground electrical systems, Joe also leads up this division of work. He has overseen safety operations on construction projects of a vast scope and size including the underground installation of electrical transmission lines, working along the Metro-North Railroad, and working inside hospital campuses requiring specialized dust and air quality controls. Joe is trained and updated annually in all OSHA and MSHA requirements and is an OSHA certified trainer for 10 and 30-hour construction courses. Under his direction of the safety program, the company has consistently received the CCIA award for Recognition of Excellence in Construction Safety and Health.

Howard Vagt, General Superintendent - Site & Materials Operations
Howard has been with the John J. Brennan Construction Company for more than thirty-five years. He started his employment as an equipment operator and expanded his role to the Superintendent of our material processing plant and then into General Superintendent of Site and Material Operations. Howard has worked on and overseen a wide variety of construction projects including large-scale site developments, road construction projects and large-scale demolition projects.

Nicholas Teidosio, General Superintendent - Water & Utility Operations
With over 30 years in the industry, Nick has vast knowledge and experience in water and underground utility operations. He oversees all water and utility work including the specialized use of trenchless technology. He was formerly Assistant Manager of Service Operations at the Regional Water Authority. Nick's vast experience in the water industry and utility work in this area has allowed him to become a valuable resource to our own operations as well as our utility partners in trouble-shooting solutions to complex rehabilitation projects and developing/planning upcoming projects.

William Long, Project Manager
Bill has a long history with management and oversight of site activities, civil construction, and environmental remediation projects with various regulatory agencies, including the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Navy, CT Department of Transportation, Department of Public Works. Bill joined Brennan in 2016 as project manager for multi-phase, multi-year project with a coal-fired power plant in preparation for natural gas conversion, including gas and water infrastructure and roadway development. Working in close coordination with the owner's local and regional project management teams he ensured adherence to project schedules. Bill is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Brent Moyer, Project Engineer & Safety Manager
Brent began with Brennan in 1999 when he started as a field foreman working on state and municipal projects ranging from state park rehabilitations to road reconstructions. Prior to joining the company, Brent worked for many years on site development and heavy highway projects in a variety of roles, up to and including project superintendent. Brent's field experience and technical knowledge have made him an asset to Brennan, including taking a lead role as project engineer for their work on a large-scale underground 345kv electrical transmission lines. Brent has also been involved in numerous DOT and site development projects, including road reconstruction, underpinning buildings in the sensitive area of hospital campuses, as well as installation of sheeting and sewers alongside the Metro-North Rail line. Brent manages Brennan’s project completion procedures and has implemented the company’s drone video project program. Brent serves as valued member of the safety program in his role as safety manager.

Joseph Houde, Estimator & Project Manager
Joe began his career at Brennan as a project managers’ assistant and quickly showed his ability and dedication far exceeded his assignment. He has risen through the ranks and seen many facets of the construction business while working his way to his current position as Estimator and Project Manager. Joe has successfully worked on large-scale construction projects serving in both estimating and project management duties. His responsibilities include developing estimates, buy-out of materials, coordinating subcontractors, assisting in the scheduling of materials and resources to meet and expedite construction schedules.

Erik Guerra, Project Superintendent
Erik graduated from Central Connecticut University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Eric joined Brennan in 2007 as a Project Superintendent of night operations for their work on the underground 345kv electrical transmission line. In this role, he was responsible for field supervision and coordination of multiple crews installing conduit structures and splice vaults for underground electrical transmission lines through a major State roadway. He has continued a variety of projects ranging from installing sheeting along the Metro-North Rail Line, requiring the coordination of track outages, to a multi-phase project expanding and reconstructing the Stamford Hospital campus. Eric has been our lead PM on several Avangrid projects, including the Milvon-Devon T-Line upgrade.

Gary DeRosa, Assistant Superintendent
Gary joined Brennan in 2001 as a foreman working on water main projects including both emergency and capital improvement projects up to 60” in diameter. After promotion to Site Superintendent, Gary’s responsibilities grew to include estimating and project management for a variety of utilities, including Aquarion Water Company, Regional Water Authority, and Connecticut Water Company. His responsibilities include scheduling, material and resource coordination, production reporting, and customer relations. Gary is a long-standing member of the company safety committee.
